Nordic Ware Platinum Collection Cast-Aluminum Nonstick Tea-Cake and Candy Mold Review
Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)I like the idea of this bundt pan. I made 3 batches of chocolate truffles on it. The recipe that comes with the pan is awesome. HOWEVER, I have yet to figure out how to get the chocolates out easily. The first time, I used a non-stick spray (not vegetable oil). I thought that might be my problem because the company recommends vegetable oil. On the next two batches, I poured vegetable oil in the little holes and spread it around using a pastry brush. Again, I had to fight to get the chocolates out. I kid you not -- my husband pounded on the pan with a big rubber mallet to get the chocolates to come out! I must be doing something wrong. I will call customer service tomorrow -- but if there is a trick to this, they should have told you on the instructions on how to make the truffles! Other than that, the chocolates turned out beautifully and I will use this pan again, even if I have to call my husband to help me out with his rubber mallet!

The bakeware provides 30 miniature Bundt-style molds in a variety of beautiful shapes, including three each of the following: heart, chrysanthemum, sunflower, rose, cathedral, Bavaria, fleur de lis, star, tri-star, and original Bundt shape. Crafted of durable cast aluminum for fast, even heating, the unit's nonstick coating maintains each miniature's intricate detail and design, while its heat-reflective exterior ensures uniform browning. For best results, brush with solid vegetable shortening and dust with flour when filling with raw batters or doughs. The bakeware should be hand washed only, and metal utensils, scouring pads, and abrasive cleaners should not be applied to its nonstick surface. Safe for use in the oven, the USA-made tea-cake and candy mold carries a limited lifetime warranty.
