(More customer reviews)I bought this item because I don't like wooden chopping boards as the wood tends to get tender when wet and chip off. I would then get small strings of wood in my chopped vegetables. The ideal board would have been glass for me. Since I did not find what I wanted, I bought this one because it is partly glass and because the advertisement said that bamboo is very strong and does not chip off. Unfortunately this is not true. Therefore I am left with a little rectangle of glass where I can chop my vegetables safely. Moreover, the other side which is completely wood is supposed to be ideal for collecting juices while chopping. However when I use that side the board rocks because the glass makes the bottom uneven. I find it very difficult to remove the glass portion; therefore I am not able to use the other wooden side either, and I cannot clean the board properly as advertised. All together I find the item too expensive for the use I am able to make of it. The only consolation I get is that the design is prety so the board makes a nice decor in the kitchen !
