(More customer reviews)I purchased this stone back in 9/10. I have used it about 2 times a week every since I received it in the mail. This is one high tech piece of cooking equipment. When you master the heat level, this is the only thing that you will eat your pizza off of. In my opinion, the stone works best with half lump charcoal and 100% hardwood briquetts. I have no problem using it in the winter months, just let the stone preheat for about a hour with the bottom vents barley opened. Keep in mind you will be dumping in lit charcoals from your charcoal starter and that's why I recommend opening the bottom vents barley so as not to heat the stone really fast.---usually I open the top vent about a quarter of the way (Using a Weber Kettle 22 1/2). Would recommend this to anyone who loves crispy crust. This has really made my kids and family very happy. Thanks amazon.
