It contains the Hamilton Beach/Proctor-Silex T39 heating elements that draw 780 watts. If you want a simple toaster that doesn't throw toast out of the top and if it breaks you trash it then this model should be considered. It has a traditional world war two look. It toasts both sides of bread equally. It is very simple to operate. The instruction says to "Unplug from outlet when not in use . . ." My dear wife does exactly that. The instruction also says to not to toast Pop Tarts in the toaster. What's with that?
