A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and sometime professional chef, I know and want for myself the very best products that I can find. The Dualit definitely qualifies in that category. I've used one in my home for many years. When I was burgled recently, the toaster was one of the items taken. A thief with good taste!
The poor babies who complain that they cannot make good toast with a Dualit either have defective machines (rare, but all things are possible) or they are hopelessly inept. Week after week I produce slice after slice of perfect, evenly browned toast.
The Dualit is a superbly engineered, wonderfully crafted simple machine. It does precisely what you ask it to do; nothing more, nothing less.
If you have an appreciation for genuine quality and a palate that enjoys nicely toasted bread, this is the toaster you want.
