(More customer reviews)Just received the cutting board, so this is not a review of the board's functionality, but rather its appearance. The smaller size of this cutting board had 4 reviews, all of which gave 5 stars, so I was excited about receiving this product. My response to seeing it for the first time was mixed. While it made of a very attractive wood, the workmanship was somewhat disappointing. I did not expect there to be an obvious spot of wood putty filling in the porousness of a knot in the wood. Not only was it very evident that it was a wood putty patch, it had not been sanded down properly and was a bit rough on its surface. While it was located on the periphery of the board and probably won't interfere with its functionality, it was still disappointing. I will probably keep the board because I don't want to go through the hassle of returning it and I don't expect the putty to keep the board from doing its job.
