(More customer reviews)I could not do without this product. I have made not only Quesadilla's but also pancakes, omlets, sandwiches, and I am still looking at more recipes. It takes only 2 mintues for a thick pancake compared to on a stovetop. My only negative on this unit is that if you use butter it is very messy and hard to cleanup. If this had removeable plates it would be a 5 star in my book. Well worth the $20 I paid for it.

Bake favorite quesadilla recipes right at home in just minutes with this easy-to-use quesadilla maker. Simply place a flour tortilla on the nonstick grill, then add ingredients like shredded cheese, salsa, and shredded or thinly sliced pieces of cooked meat, poultry, or vegetables. Cover with another flour tortilla, and close the lid. For best results, fillings should be spread as evenly as possible, up to a 1/2-inch from the edge of the tortilla so that the edges can seal together. The countertop appliance works great not only for making quesadillas, but also for soft tacos, omelets, fajitas, pancakes, pita-bread sandwiches, and much more. Remove cooked items using a plastic or wooden spatula to help protect the nonstick surface. An automatic "ready" light indicates when the unit has reached the correct cooking temperature, and cool-touch handles makes it possible to raise or lower the lid without the need for an oven mitt. To clean, wipe the lid, base, and cooking plates with a damp cloth and towel dry. The unit can be compactly stored using the convenient cord-storage compartment and by standing it in a vertical position. Oster 6335 Counterforms 2 Slice Toaster Review

(More customer reviews)When I was a kid (I'm 40 now) we had a toaster that made good toast and lasted 25 years. This Oster 6335 is the 3rd new toaster we've tried. The other ones toasted one side but not the other, short circuited after about a year, or would toast fine one day and not the next. The Oster 6335 is okay, I bought it because Consumer Reports said it was the best and was a Best Buy. It's better than the other 3 but problems are:
The darkness adjustment is too sensitive, changing from 3 to 4 on the scale goes from light to burnt toast. One side is always darker than the other. Even on the same side of the toast some areas are toasted and some are not. The handle that pushes down the toast seems flimsy and I know it will break after a couple years. Like I said this is the best out of the 4 (3 plus this one). But I'm not raving about it.

Shortly before it got here I noticed the review section and read all the horrible reviews for this toaster and became really concerned that the toaster wouldn't work properly. It came about six months ago, I've used it pretty much every day since then and it works just fine. No weird, uneven toast. No sticky handle. None of the scary stuff in the other reviews. Its pretty, and it works. Its a toaster.

Oster 6307 Inspire 2-Slice Toaster, Red Review

(More customer reviews)Bought this toaster less than two months ago and it's already broken. The control buttons (one of the reasons why we bought it) are not functioning, neither is the darkness control knob. Once it's put into the toast position, it does not shut off, you have to push up the lever manually. My son put in some Toaster Swirls only to set off the smoke alarm. This is the second time a product (a rice cooker)from this brand has broken within months of purchase. I'm just going to avoid Oster at all costs in the future.

(More customer reviews)I bought this lovely toaster because (a) my toaster oven takes about 5 minutes to make toast - and that's its only job (b) my toaster oven is HUGE and SO UGLY! I got fed up with how much space it took up in my pantry and finally decided to splurge on the Dualit. I wanted a toaster that I loved to look at, so I could leave it on the counter without 'shame.' It is beautiful and makes perfect toast in under 60 seconds. It's so good, actually, that I burnt my first try because I had the settings up too high. (Heat scale is 1-9: on a 3, I had perfect toast in less than a minute.) On setting 9 my toast was ... not toast. For those who appreciate well-designed items, I highly recommend that you splurge on this toaster! [For size perspective, the Dualit Lite is the same size as a regular 2-slice toaster. I was afraid it would be too small, but it's just right to keep out all the time.]

This was the second brand of toaster I had to return - also returned a Black & Decker - both would only toast one side! Seems like they'd have it right by now. I finally bought one of the refurbished Cuisinarts (an $80 toaster for $30), thinking I could put a spotlight on it and use it as a display piece if it didn't work, but the Cuisinart is a great toaster! I guess you get what you pay for (unless you buy refurb ;)

Oster 2534 Inspire Handheld Mixer with Bonus Attachments Review

(More customer reviews)The biggest issue for me is that the retractable cord is quite short - probably about a foot long - so I can't hold the mixer at a comfortable angle even when I'm working right in front of an outlet. What's more, the lowest setting is much faster than on any other mixer I've used. I've gotten into the habit of whisking by hand until a mixture is fairly thick before turning to the mixer. Even then it's still fast enough to make a bit of a mess, so I usually just finish by hand to save the trouble of having something else to wash up. Lastly, the eject button isn't actually a button, it's just an area of plastic with a logo on it that you're supposed to run your thumb down to release the beaters. It's creaky and feels flimsy, and it doesn't usually let got of the beaters until you try it a few times.
On the upside, the unit has a nice heft, the rubber grip is comfortable, and the switch feels solid. The negatives outweigh the positives for me, though, so I'm going to keep an eye out for something better.

(More customer reviews)I make a wide variety of breads (white, wheat, sweet, sourdough, etc.) about once a week, both from mixes as well as from scratch. Sure they're squarish, and the tops are sometimes weird, but the taste is great and they never burn. The interior mixing/baking pan is metal as is the paddle. Recently reading reviews of the new features of the Zojirushi X20, such as being able to open the lid to check how the dough looks/feels, a dough cycle, a viewing window, three crust color choices, these were already incorporated in this machine when I brought it in 1996. This model is a great machine.

(More customer reviews)I have owned and used this breadmaker for 5 years now and there is no reason to get another one. The best part is it comes out with a loaf of bread that looks like a loaf of bread, not some tube of baked stuff.
This one is reliable.
As for making a good loaf of bread, one of the best hints I have found to follow is to measure your flour not by volume but by weight - a cup is 5 oz. This is what bakers do because all kinds of things can affect the volume of the flour you're measuring; moisture, settling, etc.
