(More customer reviews)Must admit that I've only used these a few times with my Cuisinart HM-50 Power Advantage 5-Speed Hand Mixer, but they did work for creating dough from scratch, as they should. They eject easy and clean up on the dishwasher just fine.

My 4-star rating is based on their use with my particular mixer, as they dis seem to slightly strain the unit. If they were to be used with the more powerful Cuisinart HM-70 Power Advantage 7-Speed Hand Mixer, could easily give them five stars.

(More customer reviews)I make bread often. For large loaves I use my Kitchenaid, but for a small loaf, or half-loaf, hand mixed in a bowl, this is just grand! I also find I reach for it before I go looking for my hand mixer. Yah...too much trouble to get out the small mixer and plug it in! This wisk is perfect for the new bread technique that calls for very wet dough. The best book for this technique is 200 Fast and Easy Artisan Breads: No-Knead, One Bowl. This is the easiest way to make terrific bread and the bread wisk is really fun to use!

Dough Mixer - 14 Inch Review

(More customer reviews)This is a very nice tool if you are making bread by hand. I use it as a whisk and stir bread all the way to the point when I have to knead the dough by hand. It does not clog up, like a regular wisk would and it works well for large (10lb) batches. I prefer it over other stirring utensils (it does require some muscle, no surprise there)!

(More customer reviews)I read about this gadget on the Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a Day website, and decided to give it a try. I have a large food processor, but it seemed like a lot of parts to wash for just a few twirls of the dough, and the wooden spoon worked but was more effort than I like to expend.
This cool little gadget does an excellent job, no fuss, little effort, and it cleans up very easily. I highly recommend it.
