(More customer reviews)I ordered four of these plates and they arrived in a large box with four smaller boxes in it, containing one plate each.
I was a bit disappointed as one of the plate was made in Indonesia (the other three were made in England). You can tell the differences: the colors of the roses are less vibrant (especially the red color of the roses is darker and dull) and the gilding at the periphery seems to be of lessor, uneven quality. I did a blind test to my friend and that one plate was easily picked up among four as inferior. However, I must add that the one from Indonesia is still beautiful.
My initial impression of the other three plates are very positive. The colors are deliciously lively, and the glaze has delicate translucency.
As the Amazon description didn't say anything about the country of origin, and I bought it with the 4-for-3 promotion, which is an additional 25% discount on an already marked down price, I'm overall happy with the products. I just hope that the Indonesian plate, as well as the others, retains its initial beauty for long time.
