As long as you don't need to change the power level or use any advanced controls, it seems to work fine. Maybe it's just the unit I got but the power level control seems to be totally unresponsive. Fine if you can heat everything you need to heat on max power, not so fine for prepared foods that instruct you to cook X minutes on 50% power.

This is a nice sharp knife which will keep its edge for a long time and the fact that a cutting board comes with it is an added plus. It's just long enough for things which come out of a standard 4.5" loaf pan. However the somewhat short 6 inch length makes it less useful for cutting the big round crusty loaves produced using the New York Times no-knead method or the breads from Healthy Bread in Five Minutes a Day: 100 New Recipes Featuring Whole Grains, Fruits, Vegetables, and Gluten-Free Ingredients or Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day: The Discovery That Revolutionizes Home Baking
If you plan to use it on hearth style artisan breads in addition to standard loaves, you'd probably be happier with one having a longer blade, perhaps 8 or 9 inches.

(More customer reviews)Having a bread basket able to keep your biscuits and dinner rolls nice and hot is a wonderful bonus. When most people have their supper they like to eat dinner rolls in between their main course on the plate, and now, thanks to this bread basket, the biscuits will continue to stay hot until every one of them is gone.
It's not like you have to wash the basket when you're finished eating, either. Because you will have napkins holding the biscuits in place preventing crumbs from going into the basket. The napkins are laid neatly inside. I can't believe you're expected to pay 23 bucks for one, though. Might want to wait until the price drops. Then again with Thanksgiving coming up you might be on a tight schedule where money isn't an issue.
