I like the raw edge trend and thought this cutting board would make a good presentation piece for cheeses. In person it's less of a true raw edge and more that one edge is distressed or sanded down. So it doesn't have the same rugged, earthy visual impact as pictured. Also there was a bit of a putty repair on the surface which is fairly obvious. However it is a solid board, the wood is good quality and it doesn't slip. So if you're looking for a utilitarian cutting board this is fine, but if you're searching for more of a unique statement piece it's not a great choice, the detail work just isn't there.

If you are able to get real bagels - as opposed to the bread-like things sold in grocery stores or in the mid-West - this knife is for you. I make my own bagels, using high-gluten flour and the boiling method, and the exterior is definitely the "tough" crust of real bagels. Most bread knives had some difficulty biting into the crust and then cutting through the entire bagel.
This Rada bagel knife bit right in and was able to handle the tough bagel crust without damaging the more delicate interior. I've been using it for three years, and the knife is just as sharp as the day I got it.
I would not recommend using this knife on more delicate breads and rolls as the cutting edge is rather coarse. Rada makes a wonderful bread knife and a short bread knife that are ideal for other breads.

The immediate comparison I made when I received this Panini press was to the Cuisinart GR-3 Griddler Jr, Brushed Stainless Steel, and the key difference between the two products (and the reason I'm giving the better constructed, perhaps even better performing press three stars rather than five) is you can remove the plates in the Cuisinart, and you cannot in the Breville. Convenience and ease of use are central considerations when it comes to just how much you're going to want to use these 'extra' kitchen devices, and if it's a headache to clean something like burnt/stuck preserves, then you're going to be less likely to want to pull it out and use it again.
I want to back up a little bit, because I think Breville generally designs and manufactures outstanding high-quality but still affordable products. This press is no exception. Having used both this Breville and the aforementioned Cuisinart, I would give the Breville the edge on almost every single front. It feels more solidly constructed of higher quality materials, it seems to heat more evenly, although the Cuisinart does allow a range of temperature settings as opposed to Breville's one-temp-fits-all approach. I actually like having one flat and one grilled plate in the Breville, compared to the two grilled plates in the Cuisinart -- the flat surface providing a much more even and consistent heat that really radiates into the middle of the sandwich better than the more limited surface contact provided by just grill plates (but you still have the all-important texture and grill marks from the top plate). Both adapt to larger sandwiches. Both sport non-stick surfaces (although the Breville's is much smoother as the Cuisinart employs a grittier non-stick treatment). Both are perfectly sized for a couple good-sized sandwiches, without all the wasted space that comes with and from the larger models in each line.
I like this press enough that even as I wrap this review up I wonder if I should be giving it 4 stars rather than 3. Standing on its own, it deserves every bit of 4 stars. It's when it's held in contrast to a like-priced alternative like the Cuisinart that the Breville loses some of its luster, and then really only due to a question of pure convenience (in the form of removable plates).
If those removable plates aren't of particular importance to you, I actually recommend this press over the Cuisinart. For me, the convenience of cleaning the removable plates provide is what makes it an easy decision between the two when I want to grill a sandwich.

Of all the Nordicware I've purchased, this one is probably my favorite. It's so much more versatile that just a regular cake pan, mainly because you can either bake a small cake in it, or use it as a bread pan as I normally do. The only trouble you might have with this guy is getting all the stuff out of the crevices. Also, be SURE to tap it on the counter before baking to get out the air holes in the top. Otherwise, it will look like your pumpkin patch has been infested with worm holes! Or, if you have a bunch of little boys to whom you are serving this, they'll think the worm holes are cool! :) anyway, you can't go wrong with this pan - they even include a recipe. This pan was offered by Williams Sonoma last year and now this year, it's more affordable for all of us. Highly, highly recommend!

In Europe, this knife is called the "sausage" or "brunch" knife. Since Americans don't usually cut baguettes or weisswurst as part of making lunch, however, Amazon has chosen to call this what it is - the serrated utility knife.
Name notwithstanding, the edge on this knife is the same as the one on the Wusthof tomato and bread knives, and the knife does in fact do splendidly on tomatoes (which aren't too terribly different from sausage) and crusty bread (as long as it is skinny french bread - get an 8-inch knife for the hefty american stuff).
Where this knife truly excels, however, is cutting citrus. The blade is long enough to handle grapefruit, and the scalloped edge will cut even kumquats and key limes without crushing the pulp.
So, I would have called this the citrus knife (or, maybe, the "soft things with a hard skin" knife). While mine doesn't get used as often as the paring or chef's knife, it's among our kitchen's top-five.

Bottom Line:
Glad I bought it and would recommend it to anyone interested.LONG REVIEW
What comes in the box:
*Lodge Logic Preseasoned Pizza Pan 16 x 15 x 2.5 (** Cooking surface is 14 inches **), 11 pounds.
*Recipe Card with recipes for: pizza dough, pizza sauce, muffuletta pizza, mushroom & sweet pepper pizza, herb roasted potatoes, & instructions on how to care for your cast iron.
Preseasoned:
Preseasoned is a great thing but realize what it means. It means that it is on its way to being fully seasoned; like 2/3 of the way done. Before you can get that true black cast iron slickness, it still needs one or two more rounds in the oven with Crisco or just cook a pound a bacon on it like I did. Multiple uses:
*Pizza Pan
*Roasting vegetables
*Overall Baking sheet (bake cookies, breads, biscuits, fries, pastries, etc). Please note that flavors can transfer onto the pan so you may have to clean it between different uses.
*Griddle on stove for eggs, bacon, pancakes, burgers, hot dogs and similar items
*Stir Fry (Use it on one burner; the middle gets the hottest and it gets cooler towards the edges, just like a wok!)
*Broiler Plate for the oven
*Shallow roaster
*Tortilla warmer
*Crepe/dosa maker
As a side note I have used this in the oven at 450 degrees without a problem. Just remember that the pan will be extremely hot and any sudden changes in temperature may cause the pan to warp or crack so please be careful. For example, if I took the pan out of a blazing hot oven and ran cold water on it right away, it may bend or break.
Pizza:
It makes the best pizza I have ever had. The pan heats evenly all the way to the center creating a perfect, uniform crust. I sometimes make my own dough but in a pinch I go down to my favorite local pizzeria and buy some dough from them. The pan can make crispy or soft pizza.
Everyone has their own method to making pizza and this is mine:
For crispy pizza:
Place the dough on room temperature Lodge Pro Logic Pizza Pan and put it in a 400 degree oven for 5-8 min. Once the dough starts to get firm, take it out the oven, spread out a half a cup of sauce, and evenly cover with cheese. At this point you can add whatever toppings you like (make sure meat toppings are already cooked). Bake for about 10 to 15 minutes until desired crispness. 2 minutes before I pull it from the oven, I add a little more cheese so it is just melted and gives you that string cheese pull like in the commercials. (see customer image above)
For softer pizza, follow the same directions as above without first baking the dough.
I serve & cut the pizza in the pan. Although the pizza does still cook while in the pan, I noticed it basically keeps it warm until the last slice. I use a pizza cutter from the dollar store which will cut the pizza but will not scratch or scrap the seasoning off. If you cut your pizza in the pan, please be careful not to scratch seasoning. If you do, just reseason (see below).
Because it is cast iron, it won't stain like a pizza stone or get those burnt spots like aluminum does. Also, cooking in cast iron provides iron in your diet because the food absorbs some of the iron.
Size:
It makes a pizza big enough for 2 people with a good appetite (assuming they have a side dish) or 3 people with less of an appetite. Sometimes the pizza is so good I can eat the whole thing myself! Normally, I eat about 2/3 of the pie along with a side salad and I am satisfied--I do have a good appetite. If I had a large family, I would definitely consider buying two. Of course for you folks with the large family, try one pan first and then make the decision yourself. (The photos included above do have a US quarter in the picture so you can gauge the size of the pie).
Clean up & Seasoning:
After cooking, take a dry paper towel while the pan is still warm and wipe it down (if it is really dirty use a little water but I never use soap). If you use water, you can reheat the pan to get it dry. After it is clean and dry, spray it with Pam and then wipe away any excess oil. Place pan back in the warm oven or on top of the burner just used. That's it! The residual heat will reseason the pan while the oven/stove is cooling down. Food never sticks using this method. If your seasoning ever comes off, just apply some oil and bake in the oven; repeat as necessary. Be careful not to use too much oil while seasoning or you will get a sticky or gummy residue on it--this should be avoided.
An added bonus is that it is made in the USA by Lodge, so you can buy and use with confidence knowing this product was made here by a company with over 100 years experience in the business. Lodge customer service has always been super helpful and friendly to me.

I bought these loaf pans in frustration: frustration that the cheap ones at the dime store always rusted as soon as they got wet, frustration that non-stick surfaces scratch if you look at them funny, frustration that no one seems to understand what a normal size loaf pan is. What finally sold me on this pan was the magic phrase "Twenty-five year warranty." I figured that no one would put a twenty-five year warranty on a pan that was going to rust.
This 8-1/2 x 4-1/2 inch pan (these are the inside/bottom measurements) is just the right size for your typical "loaf of bread" recipe. I bought two and recommend that to anyone who bakes more than twice a year.
We're washing it as if it's a non-stick pan, although it's technically not. The surface cures, though, and that will happen faster if you don't take a wad of steel wool to it. I usually line the bottom with a (lessee here, if you cut a half-sheet size piece of parchment paper into quarters, what do you get?) a small piece of parchment paper and entirely skip the grease-and-flour step. I've never had any trouble getting any sort of bread out of the pan. I loosen the sides with a plastic spatula, and the bread slides out perfectly.
The only downside is that the folded metal on the corners can trap little tiny crumbs. This is a bigger problem with quick breads and other slack doughs. So the question you need to answer for yourself is this: To get an awesome, well-behaved loaf pan that will never rust, is it worth running a toothpick through the corners each time you wash it? I decided that twenty seconds and one-tenth of a cent (for a cheap toothpick) per washing was definitely worth it to me.

I liked the concept of avoiding cross contamination of food and love the look of the self contained storage unit for these boards. It is attractive enough to sit out on the counter or stores nicely in a cupboard. The boards are nice but... Here's my "but", the cutting boards are just too small in size for real meal prep. If you are used to working with a small cutting board, then this will work for you. I'm not and find the small size a bit frustrating.

Over 150 fragrances available! We have all the great scents used in our candles plus many more. Each BOTTLE contains 1/2 oz of fragrance. Scented oils have many uses. You can place some oil in a ceramic lamp ring that sits on a light bulb or put some in a simmering pot to fill a room with scent. The oils can also be used in the water in "rainbow" vacuum cleaners. With conventional vacuums, put some oil on a cotton ball and suck it into the vacuum cleaner bag and it will give off some scent while you vacuum. Wilma's favorite trick is to put several drops of oil on a damp cloth and throw it into the clothes dryer with a load of sheets or other laundry. The sheets or laundry will smell wonderful. Be sure not to apply directly to the sheets as it will leave an oil stain. These are candle fragrance oils and may NOT be suitable for "skin safe" applications or for conversion into fragrance lamp oils. Each bottle contains approximately a half ounce of highly scented oil. All our oils are full strength and undiluted.

I have owned these for about 6 months now. At first, they seemed a bit lightweight but after using them, they are perfect. They are well balanced and extremely sharp. So far, there has not been a single negative. If you are used to using cheap knives, you should be very careful when you first get these. We had company at the house who did some cooking and she ended up cutting herself at least six times! She never owned a knife that took so little effort to use and she kept slipping up and nicking her fingers. The knife block is a little large but it displays the colors of the blades very nicely. I tried putting them in a smaller wooden block but they just did not look as good. We use colorful Fiesta dinnerware in the house and these knives add a bold splash of color of their own to the counter top. I liked the set so well that I went back and bought all the remaining knives in the set.

The picture that is displayed on the site is a much "sharper" and "clearer" image or picture than what I actually "received"..It's truly amazing what one can do with a camera as far as sharpness and clearness, but do not be fooled...It does not look the same upon arrival...It's not nearly the same type of "detail" and "elegant-ness" that the company is leading you to believe as described and displayed on the site by the company..This a "hand-painted" item that, frankly, could have been better..Disappointed...especially considering the price I paid for it..The price that I paid for it was an "elegant" price, but I did not receive "elegant" quality..
